c.      Who is called the father of Library science in India?

d.     Write the name of different types of libraries.

e.     Who coined the term Information Literacy?

f.       Which of the following is a primary source of information?

  a) Textbook  b) Encyclopedia  c) Research article  d) Dictionary

g.     Write the full form of IFLA and BLA. .

h.     What is misinformation?

i.        What is Disinformation?

j.       Write the names of two AI tools?

         2.     (a) What is a library?  What are the main objectives of libraries? Describe the                     importance of libraries in modern society?                2+4+4=10

(b) What is a public library? Discuss the functions of public library. Why a Public Library is Called the People’s University?                   3+4+3=10


3.     (a) Write short notes on the following :

i)                   IFLA     ii)  IASLIC

(b) What is meant by the library movement in India?  Explain the contribution of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan to the library movement.                  5+5=10 

 

4.     (a) What is meant by information explosion? Name two major causes of information explosion. Explain the impact of information explosion on education and decision-making.                                                          3+3+4=10

ঘ. বিভিন্ন প্রকার গ্রন্থাগারের নাম লেখো।

ঙ. 'ইনফরমেশন লিটারেসি' শব্দটি কে প্রথম ব্যবহার করেন?

ছ. IFLA এবং BLA-এর পূর্ণরূপ লেখো।

জ. ভুল তথ্য কাকে বলে?

ঝ. বিভ্রান্তিকর তথ্য কাকে বলে?

ঞ. দুটি কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা (AI) টুলের নাম লেখো।


২। (ক) গ্রন্থাগার কী? গ্রন্থাগারের প্রধান উদ্দেশ্যগুলো কী কী? আধুনিক সমাজে গ্রন্থাগারের গুরুত্ব বর্ণনা করো। ২+৪+৪=১০

অথবা

(খ) গণগ্রন্থাগার কী? গণগ্রন্থাগারের কার্যাবলী আলোচনা করো। একটি গণগ্রন্থাগারকে কেন জনগণের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বলা হয়? ৩+৪+৩=১০


৩। (ক) নিম্নলিখিত বিষয়গুলির উপর সংক্ষিপ্ত টীকা লেখো:

i) IFLA ii) IASLIC

অথবা

(খ) ভারতে গ্রন্থাগার আন্দোলন বলতে কী বোঝায়? গ্রন্থাগার আন্দোলনে ডঃ এস. আর. রঙ্গনাথনের অবদান ব্যাখ্যা করো। ৫+৫=১০


৪। (ক) তথ্য বিস্ফোরণ বলতে কী বোঝায়? তথ্য বিস্ফোরণের দুটি প্রধান কারণ উল্লেখ করো। শিক্ষা এবং সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণের উপর তথ্য বিস্ফোরণের প্রভাব ব্যাখ্যা করো। ৩+৩+৪=১০

অথবা

(খ) তথ্য সাক্ষরতার সংজ্ঞা দাও। তথ্য সাক্ষরতার প্রধান লক্ষ্য কী? তথ্য সাক্ষরতা কীভাবে ভুল তথ্য এড়াতে সাহায্য করে? ২+৪+৪=১০
